Graduate Town Planner - Cambridge

Are you a recent graduate with a passion for planning and urban development? We are looking for a highly motivated and ambitious Graduate Town Planner to join a well-established and thriving consultancy in Cambridge. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to take their first step into the world of planning with a supportive and dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior planners with preparing planning applications, appeals, and planning policy documents.
  • Conduct site assessments and research, providing support on both strategic and development-related planning projects.
  • Contribute to planning reports and documents for submission to local authorities.
  • Support the team in providing advice on land use, development potential, and local planning regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams on a wide variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
  • Attend site visits, meetings, and consultations as required.

What We're Looking For:

  • A degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A passion for urban development and a keen interest in the planning process.
  • A proactive and motivated approach, with the ability to work well in a team and independently.
  • Knowledge of UK planning policies and regulations is an advantage but not essential.
  • Membership or working towards membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) would be advantageous.
