About the opportunity:

  • Build and maintain relationships with local authorities, agents, landowners, and developers to identify market opportunities.
  • Conduct land appraisals and assess development potential using market research, build costs, and local planning policies.
  • Negotiate offers and secure land within budget and forecasted needs.
  • Stay informed on technical, health and safety, and legal aspects of land acquisition and development.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to maximize land acquisition opportunities.
  • Manage and update the land register/portfolio.
  • Work with Planning and external consultants to ensure successful application delivery and decisions.

About the benefits and rewards:

The salary will be dependent on the level of exposure to the residential industry. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary in the region of up to 50k DOE. In addition to the basic salary there will be further company benefits.

About the requirements:

  • Experience in a Land Buyer, Land Manager, or property-related role, with a focus on land acquisition (ideally in housebuilding)
  • A-Levels or equivalent; Planning/Surveying Degree (Grade 2:2+) or equivalent preferred; RICS/RTPI accreditation desirable
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, and administration skills; proficient in IT
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively with diverse teams
  • Flexibility in duties and hours, with regular travel to land opportunities and development sites
  • Commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity.
