Senior Associate – Private ClientSalary: Up to £75,000Location: CambridgeWe are currently representing a well-respected law firm that is seeking a Senior Associate to join their Private Client team based in Cambridge. This exciting opportunity has arisen due to an upcoming retirement within the firm, making it a perfect time to join and play a key role in the firm's future.About the Role: As a Senior Associate in the Private Client team, you’ll be responsible for delivering bespoke, high-quality legal advice to mid and high-net-worth clients. Your expertise in trusts, taxation, and lifetime planning will be vital as you guide clients through complex estate planning matters, all while helping to support and develop junior members of the team.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide estate planning advice to mid-to-high-net-worth clients.
  • Draft complex Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
  • Manage the administration of taxable and non-taxable estates.
  • Draft Trust documentation and advise executors and trustees on taxation, compliance, and duties.
  • Offer business succession planning to sole traders, partners, and shareholders.
  • Provide support on complex matters, particularly in trusts, taxation, and estate planning.
  • Attend networking events to grow the firm's reputation and establish professional connections.
About You: To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will have:
  • 8+ years PQE in Private Client Law.
  • Strong experience preparing self-assessment tax returns.
  • SFE and/or STEP membership (desirable).
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage time effectively.
  • The ability to work independently or as part of a team while staying calm under pressure.
