What will you be doing?

You will be supporting the Fleet Manager by ensuring that feedback and analysis is available on all aspects of the vehicles and plant related to the operation. You will assist in monitoring the operational costs of vehicles and plant, performance of servicing contracts and to support in ensuring compliance with the HGV Operators License conditions in relation to the HGV Vehicle Fleet.

Key duties will include:?

  • Preparation of reports - individual vehicle fuel, oil, & tyre usage and costs

  • Administration of fuel cards, and bulk fuel bunkering facilities where appropriate

  • Reporting & updating of all costs & expenditure within the fleet operation. (fuel, oil, tyre, maintenance)

  • Collation of completed 'vehicle check' sheets

  • Monitoring of 'Vehicle defect report' closure

  • Liaison with the Operational Team, Anglian Water staff, and members of the public in cases of reported damage

  • Supplier (Vehicle repair/servicing) - Obtaining service records and feedback following vehicle inspections

  • Obtaining authorisation of supplier invoicing and processing for payment.

What does it take to be an Operational Administrator??

  • Experience of LGV haulage operations

  • Computer literate - experienced in some of the following MS Word, MS Excel, Database type applications, SAP.

  • Ability to challenge and question Supplier invoicing & analyse vehicle cost data
