SALARY- 30,000 to 40,000 per annum (plus benefits)

Premier Engineering is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturing company based in Cambridge. This role involves carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on machinery to ensure smooth production operations.

The Maintenance Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • A qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (HNC, HND, NVQ, or equivalent)
  • Experience in maintaining and repairing manufacturing or industrial machinery
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs
  • Experience with PLCs and automation systems (desirable)
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of health & safety procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
The Maintenance Engineer role will involve:
  • Conducting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on machinery
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
  • Ensuring minimal downtime and optimal machine performance
  • Working with production teams to improve equipment reliability
  • Maintaining records of maintenance activities and reporting issues
  • Following health & safety regulations and company procedures
  • Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency
