Cambridge (Hybrid Working Available)

A large Engineering business who are a design and build provider in the water sector, who are seeking Regional Discipline Leads to join their dynamic engineering team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future.

As a Regional Discipline Lead, you will report directly to the Engineering Director and lead the technical discipline across the region.

Your focus will be on ensuring that the team has the right skills, and competencies while maintaining the highest standards of quality and innovation. You'll also contribute to the development of your discipline and provide team members with growth opportunities.

This is a chance to combine your technical expertise with leadership skills to drive meaningful change in the water treatment industry.

Key Responsibilities:

People Management:

Providing care and support for your discipline in the region, planning training and development for your team, overseeing staffing levels, performance reviews, and long-term succession planning.

Engineering Discipline Management:

Applying and evolving strategic design philosophy, managing technical competencies, ensuring quality across your region, allocating resources effectively to deliver projects, and championing the use of modern task delivery methods and digital tools.

Operational Management:

Defining and implementing technical strategy, optimizing discipline productivity, managing technical risk, and building strong client relationships.

Personal Responsibilities:

Staying at the forefront of industry trends through networking and continuous development, representing MWH Treatment with professionalism and drive, and sharing insights and best practices with colleagues.

About You

We're looking for an inspiring leader with deep technical expertise and a passion for engineering excellence.

Essential skills and experience include a profound understanding of technical discipline design and management, knowledge of BIM and digital delivery methods, experience in the water treatment industry and design-build environments, a proven ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams, a degree in a relevant subject or substantial equivalent experience, and being quality-driven with strong organizational and motivational skills.

Desirable skills and experience include Chartered Engineer status and experience leading remote or geographically dispersed teams.
