Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Role: Scientific Instrumentation Location: CambridgeSalary: £50k-£62k Platform Recruitment has partnered with a manufacturer that design and develop electro-mechanical scientific instruments across the full development cycle - concept through to production. They’re looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer who will be capable of delivering robust and thoroughly tested mechanical design solutions as well as leading mechanical development on new development projects. The Role: + Develop new products - concept to production + Create innovative CAD designs+ Prototype, test & validate designs + Mechanism & component design + Produce bills of materials+ Work with production to solve technical issues Requirements: + Experienced in designing electro-mechanical/scientific products + Hands-on experience managing end-to-end product development+ 3D CAD design - Solidworks + Produce manufacturing drawings+ Practical experience with prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting+ Knowledge of fabrication, injection moulding, machining and assembly techniques
The salary will be between £50,000-£62,000 depending on experience. There is also a generous benefits package available.
