A mechanical qualification equivalent to HND/HNC is required, along with experience in sourcing and ordering mechanical equipment.
The salary for this role ranges from £30,805 to £35,116, along with pay progression and annual cost of living increases.

We are recruiting for one of Cambridge's research institutions & we are looking for a skilled Mechanical Technician to help support lab and production services across multiple labs.

You will get the chance to work across a broad range of research areas, providing support on designing, commissioning, upgrading and using mechanical engineering equipment to support engineers within the labs.

The right candidate will have:

Experience designing, developing, manufacturing mechanical equipment, from rough sketches and instructions.
Experience sourcing, ordering & stock check of mechanical rigs & equipment.
Experience of the maintaining and running labs
Mechanical Qualification equitable to HND/HNC
