As the Inorganics Lab Manager you will oversee the inorganics function, leading a team of circa 20 scientist to deliver analytical data against agreed time-frames in a high-throughput lab, adhering to ISO standards at all times.

The client are a fast paced high-throughput laboratory performing analysis on a range of environmental samples.

Description

As the Inrganics Lab Manager you will:

  • Line manage the inorganics lab function (circa 20 scientists) to deliver accurate and timely data against agreed time-frames
  • Adhere to the company QMS and associated standards (ISO17025)
  • Support and deliver on projects extending service offerings, be that improvement to method performance or extension to scope
  • Organise and manage maintenance of instruments (preventative and reactive)

Profile

To be successful you will have:

  • A strong background in analytical chemistry with a bias for inorganic analysis
  • An understanding / experience working with key analytical methods (ICP-MS, ICP-OES, Skalar etc)
  • Experience managing a team in a high-throughput lab setting
  • An understanding of the environmental testing sector (desirable)
