The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Packaging Engineer to join a global leader in scientific manufacturing. This role is ideal for someone with experience in both packaging design and packaging processes, looking to join an innovative R&D engineering team.
The Packaging Engineer will be responsible for using CAD platforms to design packaging for new and existing products ranging from small mechanical items of a few grams to those weighing more than a ton, whilst also evaluating existing packaging processes for potential improvements in safety, cost and efficiency.

What’s Required of the Packaging Engineer?
- Hands-on experience in an engineering environment, with skills in packaging design and development using CAD platforms such as SolidWorks and Kasemake
- An understanding of packaging materials, design principles and manufacturing processes
- A working knowledge of Lean principles, with a related qualification an advantage
- The ability to interpret mechanical/engineering and assembly drawings
