Band 6 Pharmacist Inpatients Dispensary Role – Immediate Start - Suitable for newly qualified Pharmacists or community Pharmacists!

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 6 Pharmacist to join a busy NHS Hospital Inpatients Pharmacy team located in Cambridge. This is a mainly inpatients dispensary-based role, ideal for someone with community pharmacy experience or someone who is new to the GPHC, looking to gain experience in a hospital setting!

Key Details:

  • Location: Cambridge - NH Hospital - Inpatients Pharmacy (Fully on-site)
  • Start Date: ASAP (up to 6 months)
  • Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (30-minute lunch break) – flexibility on the hours
  • Contract Length: Up to 6 months
  • Days: Monday to Friday
  • Pay Rate: £23 - £26 per hour (PAYE Direct Engagement)

Role Overview: The successful candidate will be involved in a range of duties, including:

  • Screening inpatient prescriptions.
  • Speaking with patients, providing advice on medications.
  • Dispensing medications and liaising with doctors in outpatient clinics.

This is a great role for someone who is newly qualified and looking to build their experience in a hospital pharmacy environment. Community pharmacists with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.

Requirements:

  • Band 6 level only – no Band 7 or above.
  • No remote working; the role is fully on-site.
  • Parking available on-site (charges apply, but free parking is available if you arrive before 8:45 AM).
  • Part-time options may be considered, but full-time is preferred.
