Reporting to a Senior Land and Development Manager

As a Development Manager with a planning focus, you'll be responsible for promoting and managing residential planning applications from start to approval, ensuring projects progress through local plans efficiently. You'll collaborate closely with the Strategic Land team, consultants, and local authorities to maximise site potential and streamline planning strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and submit planning applications through Local Strategic Frameworks, ensuring timely and effective progress.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of planning applications, coordinating with relevant teams to ensure timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Strategic Land team to align planning objectives and unlock site opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local authorities, landowners, and key stakeholders to promote sites and secure planning approvals.
  • Optimise development opportunities and ensure project viability in line with planning policies and business goals.
  • Oversee consultant teams to ensure smooth project progression and alignment with planning objectives.
  • Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring planning milestones are met.

Key Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience managing residential planning applications.
  • Strong background in strategic planning, with experience handling large scale projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and make sound decisions to deliver on business objectives
