We are currently working with a leading University to recruit for a Procurement Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a global University, transforming lives through inclusive and entrepreneurial education and research.
The ideal candidate will be MCIPS qualified or working towards it with demonstrable public contracts regulations knowledge.
Duties
- Provide a customer-focused professional procurement service to stakeholders
- Advise and provide guidance on complex procurement matters
- Create tender and other procurement specifications including frameworks
- Lead cross functional teams in targeted reviews to improve procurement practices
- Develop mechanisms to monitor and improve the performance of suppliers
- Evaluate supplier responses
- Ensure Terms and Conditions are completed and signed
- Monitor performance of existing contracts
- Complete statutory returns
- Act as main point of contact for procurement processes and systems
- Arrange and attend meeting with internal and external customers on behalf of the function
Essentials
- MCIPS qualified or working towards it
- Previous experience of tendering process, including public sector requirements
- Detailed knowledge of UK Public Sector procurement legislation and framework
