Polytec are looking for a Microfluidic Development Technician to join our Cambridge based client. You will be responsible for the inspection, QC and testing of microfluidic devices in a cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities:

* Visual inspection & QC of microfluidic devices, including defect identification and categorization
* Develop and test tools and fixtures to support volume scale-up activity
* Document and log process observations, reporting findings back to the team
* Liaise with external subcontractors providing feedback & drive high standards
* Contribute to work plans & technical meetings to allow new types of devices to be tested

Requirements:

*A degree in Engineering, Physics, Electronics or a closely related discipline or, a relevant technical vocational qualification or, alternatively, two or more years of technical experience relevant to the role
* Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
* It would be beneficial if you had the following experience:
- Working under quality standards
- Inspection and measurement techniques for microfluidics or MEMS devices
- Familiarity with microfluidic device coatings
