Senior Quantity Surveyor on this team, you'll play a critical role in overseeing the financial aspects of our Cambridgeshire highways project, including cost control, budget planning, and effective resource allocation. Working on a substantial roundabout development project, you'll ensure cost-effective management and assist in project delivery within budget constraints. This role requires strong collaboration with the project management team and other key stakeholders to support project success and drive efficiencies.
Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor
* Manage all aspects of cost control throughout the project lifecycle, from budgeting to final account close.
* Prepare and manage valuations, variations, and forecasts, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
* Support project managers with cost reporting, analyzing financial performance, and suggesting value engineering opportunities.
* Undertake risk management by identifying potential financial risks, proposing mitigation strategies, and ensuring contingency measures.
* Engage with suppliers and subcontractors for negotiations and manage commercial aspects of their contracts.
Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor
* Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, ideally on highways or infrastructure projects.
* Proven ability to manage large budgets, variations, and valuation processes.
* Proficiency with cost management software and MS Office Suite.
* Excellent communication skills and experience working within collaborative, multi-disciplinary project teams.
