The Role:
Our client provides residential accommodation for vulnerable families, offering comprehensive support in all aspects of parenting. They aim to create a safe, nurturing environment where residents can develop the skills needed for independent family care. Their team, comprised of support workers, key support workers, and this role a resident Social Worker, offering practical and emotional guidance to families, focusing on parenting and life skills. They are now looking for a manager to oversee the daily running and supervision of the centre.
Responsibilities:
Carry a caseload of up to 3 families, prioritising long-term support.
Complete assessments and reports within deadlines.
Chair meetings and maintain positive relationships with involved professionals and agencies.
Lead specific parenting programs.
Provide statements and court evidence when necessary.
Handle referrals and facilitate placement planning meetings.
Work toward achieving and sustaining positive outcomes for children and families in their communities.
Fulfill statutory duties in alignment with National Standards and Regulations.
Possess a solid understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.
The Successful Candidate:
Holds a degree or equivalent in social work.
Ideally experience of managing or supervising social workers.
Maintains current SWE registration.
Demonstrates experience in specialist PAM's assessments and psychodynamic frameworks.
Shows proficiency in parenting programs and safeguarding practices.
Exhibits confidence in providing court evidence.
