Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils with autism and complex needs, providing individualized support to help them achieve their full potential

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to pupils with autism and complex needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support the social, emotional, and academic development of pupils.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Help manage classroom behavior and promote positive interactions.
  • Prepare and adapt teaching materials to meet the specific needs of pupils.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with autism and complex needs is essential.
  • A passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special education or childcare is an advantage.
