Their investment in staff has been formally recognised in being accredited with Investors in People Gold status. As the Assistant Head of Department for Electrical Installations across both our Cambridge and Huntingdon Campus, you will support the Head of Department to provide high quality management, leadership and guidance across the curriculum and to provide an excellent learning experience which ensures high achievement for all students, through exemplary practice in teaching, learning and assessment. You will also improve outcomes for students by achieving and maintaining high standards of performance through tracking, monitoring and inspiring staff and students in addition to playing a pivotal role in Quality and developing the area further.  We are looking for following: 
  • Passionate about education and developing learners’ aspirations.
  • A natural leader with the charisma to inspire.
  • Someone who is enthusiastic, passionate about supporting colleagues and learners, has extensive relevant experience in teaching in a Construction area and have good knowledge of working in FE.
  • Knowledge of and ability to demonstrate relevant industry skills is essential for the role.
  • You should have current Health & Safety knowledge relevant to the role and good interpersonal, administrative, communication skills, being organised and able to meet deadlines is also essential.
