- Collaborative Support: Assist students in a variety of learning environments by providing support with reading, note-taking, using enabling technologies, and other essential skills.
- Student Empowerment: Help learners meet their personalised Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) outcomes and develop independence.
- Resource Adaptation: Modify classroom resources, such as enlarging text or simplifying language, to suit individual learning needs.
- Holistic Assistance: Provide support beyond the classroom, including during breaks, lunch, trips, and off-campus study programmes.
- Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, targets, and progress, ensuring all support guidelines are met.
- Experience supporting young people with learning difficulties or disabilities, ideally in an educational setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for inclusion and diversity.
- A proactive approach to adapting learning materials and meeting varied learner needs.
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
- GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and maths (grade C or above).
