Our client are seeking a passionate and experienced professional to join their dynamic team as an Assistant Head of Department in Construction & Building Services, specifically overseeing Multi-Skills & Trowel Trades. Role Overview:
As the Assistant Head of Department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Department in managing and enhancing the curriculum across our Multi-Skills & Trowel Trades areas, which include Construction Multi-Skills, Property Maintenance Operations, and Bricklaying. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our students receive a high-quality learning experience that fosters achievement and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management and development of the curriculum, staff, and resources.
- Drive student outcomes by maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Support and inspire both staff and students to reach their full potential.
- Travel between our Cambridge and Huntingdon campuses as needed.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Extensive teaching experience in a Construction-related field.
- In-depth knowledge of the Further Education (FE) sector and the ability to demonstrate relevant industry skills.
- Current Health & Safety knowledge relevant to the role.
- Excellent interpersonal, administrative, and communication skills.
- Strong organisational abilities with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Relevant trade qualifications and a teaching certificate such as DET, DTLLS, Cert ED, or PGCE.
