If you are working in a general practice role creating sets of accounts with an element of tax return preparation but looking to specialise in tax this is 100% the job for you!
In a newly created position to react to the growth of their client base this post of Tax Assistant will involve some accounts work but a heavy bias towards tax.
If required, the firm will fully support you with professional studies. Â
Generally your week will include:
- Tax return preparation for directors, sole traders and personal tax clients
- Tax administration (checking PAYE codes, tax calculations etc) and corresponding with HMRC
- Preparation of accounts for sole traders and company’s
- Assisting junior staff
- Room for progression with possibility of Auditing work, if interested
- Working in ‘accounts’ department alongside 6 other staff members
- Ad hoc work such as 60-day property CGT returns
