Technical Project Manager

We are looking for a proactive Technical Project Manager to oversee and deliver projects within the Unified Communications Department. You will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards. This role involves close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and requires hands-on involvement in system architecture, configuration, and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage projects for the Unified Communications team, ensuring successful delivery on time, within budget, and meeting requirements.
- Oversee project planning, including briefing, feasibility, and documentation using agreed project management tools.
- Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders during the project lifecycle, ensuring effective communication and progress.
- Ensure technical specifications and project risks are managed throughout the project, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Coordinate the delivery and handover of projects to operational teams, ensuring smooth transition to Business-as-Usual processes.
- Monitor financials to ensure projects stay within budget and deliver value for money.
- Provide leadership and support to the project team and contribute to departmental growth and development.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in technical project management, particularly in Unified Communications (paging, telephony, VoIP, IT systems).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies, SQL, virtualisation, and network management.
- Familiarity with project management frameworks (e.g., PRINCE2) and tools.
- Ability to manage stakeholder relationships and communicate effectively, both internally and externally.
- Understanding of financial management, ensuring projects stay on budget and achieve cost savings where possible.
Additional Requirements:
- Experience with systems configuration and administration.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage risks and issues.
- Ability to lead and mentor team members while promoting a collaborative work environment.
