Project Development Manager - Anaerobic Digestion

Alecto Recruitment is working with a Design and Build company within the Anaerobic Digestion sector that is actively looking to take on a Business Development Manager to assist in the development of AD facilities.

Package:
* 70,000 - 80,000 basic salary
* 4% Company contribution

Responsibilities:
* Identify and introduce new business opportunities, including markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services.
* Assist in project development from concept to ready-to-build status, including design, permitting, and planning.
* Maintain positive, collaborative relationships with operations, project teams, consultants, tech providers, and regulatory bodies.
* Meet with customers/clients in person or over the phone.
* Foster and develop relationships with customers, clients, and project teams.
* Think and work strategically to develop and improve the business and new opportunities.
* Understand and advise on the business's products or services.
* Discuss promotional strategies and activities with the team.
* Liaise with the finance and operations teams.
* Research and attend industry seminars, conferences, and events to build the business network and profile.

Skills and Requirements:
* Some experience in anaerobic digestion or Renewable energy
* An understanding of the activities and processes required to convert a greenfield site into a "tender ready" design-and-build contract which would include:-
* A knowledge of UK planning procedures
* Knowledge of the UK green gas support scheme
* Knowledge of the ISCC process and procedures
* A basic understanding of UK farming.
* An excellent telephone manner for making contact and for ongoing communication with customers and business associates
* Interpersonal and networking skills for building and developing relationships with clients
* Written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with a range of people, both internally and externally, as well as presentation skills
* It skills, including but not limited to the use of spreadsheets
* Teamworking skills and a collaborative approach to work
* The ability to multitask and prioritise your workload
* Basic project management and organisational skills
* The ability to motivate yourself and set your own goals
* The ability to analyse sales figures and write reports
* A flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
* Initiative and the confidence to build things from scratch.
* A full UK driving licence is a requirement.
