- Deliver inspirational teaching and access to learning across a range of programmes and levels.
- Provide teaching and assessment opportunities in line with the relevant awarding body requirements to promote access to achievement.
- Provide and maintain teaching materials including handouts, assignments, booklists, assessment papers, online resources and upkeep of the VLE.
- Prepare electronic Schemes of Work and Schemes of Assessment.
- Undertake the necessary administrative tasks required for the effective operation of programmes in the faculty including up to date use of vital and EBS.
- Carry out moderation/ assessment and verification in line with college and awarding body standards.
- Work with colleagues to integrate English and Maths into the vocational curriculum
- Undertake tutorial responsibilities.
- Act as a course tutor and personal tutor with responsibility for supporting learners in achieving their targets
- Track and review student progress and maintain student records using ProMonitor and other internal systems.
- Provide feedback on progress to the student, parents/guardians and employers.
- Arrange and support the work experience programme/employer engagement.
- Assist in the recruitment and admission of new students which may include evening, Saturday and summer periods.
- Attend promotional events to publicise College activities.
- Contribute to the compilation of publicity materials
- Have current industry knowledge in the business and travel sector.
- Be eager to contribute to all aspects of the department, from marketing and recruitment to course delivery and student progression.
- Hold a degree-level qualification or equivalent professional qualifications/Industry experience
- Possess a full teaching qualification and demonstrate relevant teaching experience.
