I am excited to be working with a national business who are looking to bring on board an Assistant Accountant based in Cannock.

Due to ongoing growth this well established business are looking for a proactive Assistant Accountant to join their Finance team based in Cannock.

As an Assistant Accountant, you will be an integral part of the Accounts Department and will take the lead on:

  • Assist with monthly accounts preparation, ledger monitoring, reconciliations, and month-end closures.

  • Manage daily banking, payment processes, and funding reconciliations.

  • Handle key account postings, fixed asset maintenance, and debtor monitoring.

  • Provide general finance support.

The most desirable Assistant Accountant applicant based in Cannock will have experience in the following;

  • Experience in a fast-paced accounting department with a varied workload.

  • Organised, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines independently and in a team.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with strong administrative skills.
