Senior Quality Engineer

Permanent position

£35k to £37.5k

The function of this role is to support the Quality EHS Manager in maintaining company quality expectations through compliance to company policies, system procedures, work instructions and specifications

Based in Cannock

Working for a progressive, well established client

Duties of a Senior Quality Engineer

  • Proactively support changes through improvement of documented system procedures, works instructions and forms.
  • Liaise with internal departments, customers and external providers to support continuous improvement, including 5s activities
  • Investigate and improve processes and operator knowledge with the aim of reducing waste through improved efficiencies
  • Support management review of Bill of Materials to enhance cost effectiveness
  • Problem solving, performance tools and techniques, risk assessments, internal and external audits

Experience required for the Senior Quality Engineer role

  • Previous Quality Engineer role held before
  • Auditing experience required (ideally certified)
  • ISO 14001 and ISO 9001
  • ISO IATF 16949
  • Worked in a manufacturing, engineering environment would be an advantage
