We are in search of an ER Specialist who will be responsible for managing and resolving various employment relations issues within a Human Resources department in the Energy & Natural Resources industry.

Description

  • Equip line managers to handle ER issues effectively, fostering positive employee relationships and minimizing conflicts.
  • Coach managers to apply HR policies consistently, resolving issues informally before escalation.
  • Oversee TUPE and M&A processes, ensuring compliance and smooth transitions.
  • Strengthen union partnerships, supporting negotiations and proactive engagement.
  • Assist managers in handling trade disputes, minimizing service disruption.
  • Monitor and reduce absence levels in designated contract areas.
  • Analyze ER trends using KPIs and data tools to drive proactive solutions.
  • Collaborate across HR teams and Business Units to share knowledge and enhance people strategies.
  • Support HR and ER projects, contributing to broader strategic initiatives.
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Profile

A successful ER Specialist should have:

  • Minimum Level 5 CIPD or equivalent qualification (essential)
  • CIPD Qualified Level 7 or equivalent (desirable)
  • Experience in employment relations within the Energy & Natural Resources industry
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to work well in a team and independently
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions
