Zest Education have the privilege of working closely with a 'Good’ Ofsted rated school located in the Cannock region of South Staffordshire, who are looking to recruit a full time Religious Studies Teacher. This role is full time from January 2025 for a minimum of one full term.

Religious Studies is one of the most popular subjects within the school and receives a significant uptake at GCSE. The successful applicant would be expected to perform a full and active role within the department, they would be working alongside a committed and professional departmental team.

The successful candidate must be a proactive and engaging individual who has proven experience of having strong behaviour management skills and working across a range of KS3 and KS4 with experience teaching at KS5 also being ideal.

The successful applicant will have:

  1. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  2. A strong passion for the subject of Religious Studies and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
  3. A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  4. The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  5. Strong classroom and behaviour management
  6. Creative and innovative teaching methods, the ability to motivate students
