To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a Sales & Operations Planner. The role will be based at our Cannock site.

As an our S&O Planner you will play a key role in the continuous improvement of our S&OP process to ensure that we maximize our multisite operations output, maintain optimum levels of inventory, manage our availability / lead times and improve our OTIF performance to our customers. You will be essential to the success of our S&OP process. This role is not about maintaining the status quo, you will have opportunity to work closely with our S&OP Manger, S&OP Team and IT in the development our S&OP processes and how they are managed through our ERP system (JD Edwards). Building on current reports / data extraction using your strong analytical skills to then review the data and make recommendations. With the ambition of a single set of numbers to drive our business and feed our overall budget and monthly forecasting processes as part of our monthly S&OP cycle.

As our S&O Planner, you will:

• Play a key role in development and implementation of S&OP rules through understanding business and customer requirements • Assist in development of ERP system (JD Edwards) to improve forecast accuracy and S&OP process efficiency• Work closely with our sales teams to understand customers ordering behaviours and collaborate to drive order accuracy improvement• Review sales demand, understand the assumptions / trends / constraints and opportunities to generate & communicate the supply plan to key stakeholders (operations / sales / procurement / distribution / finance)• Analyse sales trends and identify the key drivers of sales for key products • Identify abnormal demand to prevent downstream issues.• Work closely with our factories to ensure adherence to the build plans and understand any reason for deviation and potential impact to stock and service levels.• Provide scenario plans to evaluate management of constraints and opportunities, show agility in evaluating the impact of change in demand and / or supply and make recommendations • Monitor and challenge adherence to the sales and production plans• Publish stock availability data• Develop and publish score card of the business performance• Liaise and build strong communication channels with all departments

In order to be successful, ideally we would like you to be/have:

• Experience of S&OP process • Strong analytical skills• Must be able to analyse and interpret data to make decisions / recommendations• Continuous Improvement mind-set, uses a data and evidence approach• Effective communication & engagement skills• Good commercial understanding and business acumen • Understanding of ERP systems, forecasting and capacity planning modules• Desire to establish good understanding of Customer and Supplier relationships• Ability to build and use a good business network• Previous experience of working within multi-site manufacturing environment• Knowledge of JD Edwards System • IBP knowledge
