About the RoleAre you an experienced Facilities Supervisor with a strong background in logistics, operations, and team leadership? We are seeking a Facilities Supervisor to oversee the efficient delivery of facilities support services across a university campus.
In this role, you will supervise a multi-skilled team responsible for removals, deliveries, event setup, caretaking, waste and recycling, and more. You will ensure services are delivered in line with Service Level Statements (SLS) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), supporting the university’s Commercial Services and Estates (CSE) department.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and organised individual with strong leadership and communication skills to contribute to the seamless operation of a large-scale university estate.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the first point of contact for daily operational activities of Facilities Services Assistants.
- Use facilities management software to track and control work requests, ensuring service-level compliance.
- Monitor and improve processes, assisting in recruitment, training, and development of staff.
- Oversee health and safety compliance, ensuring adherence to risk assessments and regulations.
- Conduct performance management, addressing concerns and maintaining high service standards.
- Prepare reports and documentation, ensuring clear communication with senior management.
- Provide support for Traffic Management operations as needed.
- Identify opportunities for service improvements and contribute to strategic decision-making.
- Uphold customer satisfaction, ensuring service delivery meets stakeholders' expectations.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages and ability to generate meaningful reports.
- Understanding of health and safety legislation, including risk assessment procedures.
- Ability to enforce policies and regulations, adapting procedures and writing clear instructions.
- Experience using or willingness to learn IT packages for facilities management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to customer care.
- Ability to work collaboratively and inspire confidence across all levels of the organisation.

- Appreciation of the need for confidentiality when handling sensitive materials.
- Knowledge and experience of ISO14001-certified Environmental Management Systems.
