This role plays a key part in maintaining and controlling electroplating and metal finishing solution tanks, ensuring compliance with strict health, safety, and quality standards.Chemical Process Engineer Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine chemical analysis of solutions and materials.
  • Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
  • Monitor and improve electroplating and metal finishing processes.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, including COSHH.
  • Provide shop floor technical support, resolving plating-related issues.
  • Manage hazardous waste disposal, including wastewater effluent system monitoring.
  • Analyse production problems and implement corrective actions.
Ideal Candidate
  • Degree or HND in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Some experience or knowledge of industrial electroplating.
  • Strong understanding of COSHH regulations and environmental permits.
  • Methodical approach to process and product improvement.
  • Ability to work a rotating shift pattern (6am-2pm / 2pm-10.30pm).
