My client, a leading civil engineering firm are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to join their team based in Canterbury, Kent.
Main duties include:
- Proactively identify and win new customers and contracts, aligning with the company’s sales strategy.
- Cultivate, maintain, and enhance strong relationships with existing clients to drive ongoing business.
- Market and sell M&E maintenance services, including both mobile and static solutions.
- Leverage CRM tools like Salesforce to efficiently track sales activities and manage customer data.
- Attend networking events to expand business opportunities and build industry connections
The successful candidate will have/be:
- Proficient in IT, with strong skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook, and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and databases.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated sales success within the M&E industry or a related sector.
- Hands-on experience with CRM systems (experience with Salesforce is a plus).
- Skilled in independently or collaboratively producing bids, tenders, PQQs, and SQs.
- Proven track record of securing new business opportunities.
- Experience in contract retention and fostering long-term client relationships.
