REED HR have partnered with a fantastic organisation in Kent who are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join their dynamic team and deliver exceptional HR services to their managers and the wider team. If you are a HR professional who can handle a busy ER caseload, build relationships quickly, and provide pragmatic solutions, we would love to hear from you.

Day-to-Day of the Role:
  • Support managers on all aspects of employee relations matters, offering tailored advice and solutions to meet the unique needs of different departments.
  • Utilise a coaching approach to empower managers and colleagues, enhancing their confidence and effectiveness in handling complex situations.
  • Provide a mix of face-to-face/virtual meetings, phone calls, and email communications, offering advice and support materials.
  • Engage in low-level restructures, policy and procedure writing, and participate in exciting people projects.
  • Collaborate and share ideas within the team to continuously improve their services.
  • Participate in CPD sessions and team meetings to support ongoing professional development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • CIPD qualified to a minimum Level 5 or working towards a CIPD recognised qualification, or a relevant degree with significant advisory experience in a similar role.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment law.
  • Strong understanding of business and HR processes, systems, and tools.
  • Ability to offer practical, business-focused advice.
  • Strong communicative style with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Skilled in risk assessment and providing clear solutions to managers.
  • High level of prioritisation and organisational skills.
  • Experience in advising on and managing an extensive and varied HR caseload.
  • Competence in using computer systems such as Google G-Suite, Microsoft, and HR systems.
  • Experience in a public sector or a fast-paced, ever-changing environment is advantageous but not essential.
