Role ResponsibilitiesAdvisory & Client Management

  • Advising UK and international clients on structuring their affairs tax-efficiently
  • Providing high-level corporate tax advisory services, including on reorganisations, demergers, R&D tax credits, employee share schemes, and business sales
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as their trusted tax advisor
  • Supporting M&A due diligence projects, helping businesses navigate complex tax matters
  • Collaborating with colleagues worldwide to deliver strategic international tax solutions

Compliance & Oversight

  • Overseeing corporate tax compliance services for a diverse portfolio, ensuring accuracy and adherence to HMRC regulations
  • Reviewing complex corporation tax returns and computations
  • Managing compliance for businesses of all sizes, including growth companies, FCA-regulated businesses, and AIM-listed PLCs
  • Staying updated on UK corporation tax and international tax matters, ensuring clients remain fully compliant

Leadership & Team Management

  • Providing training, mentorship, and guidance to a team of three within the Corporate Tax team
  • Reviewing work, identifying learning opportunities, and supporting the professional development of junior staff
  • Acting as the main point of contact for premium clients, ensuring excellent service delivery

Candidate Requirements

  • CTA qualified or qualified by experience, with demonstrable corporate tax expertise
  • Strong experience in corporate tax compliance and advisory
  • A proactive approach, with the ability to take ownership of projects and drive them forward
  • Experience in mentoring and developing junior team members
  • Exposure to international tax issues (e.g., double taxation relief, transfer pricing, controlled foreign companies) is beneficial but not essential - full support and mentoring provided
  • Comfortable with occasional travel to client offices when required
