Reed HR have partnered with a fantastic organisation who are seeking a HR and Payroll Advisor to provide top-quality advice and administrative support across the Human Resources team in the UK. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in HR and payroll, maintaining compliance with company policies, and employment/payroll legislation. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in HR and payroll environments, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to high standards and continuous improvement.

Day-to-Day of the Role:
  • Offer general HR and payroll advice, guiding employees on the implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Handle all aspects of general administration for the employee lifecycle including documentation preparation, onboarding, induction, and processing leavers.
  • Assist in processing payroll, administering monthly adjustments, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legislation.
  • Complete post-payroll tasks such as third-party payments and statutory payments, and handle year-end processing.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files in line with data protection guidelines.
  • Validate sickness documentation, monitor staff sickness absence, and advise on issues requiring intervention.
  • Respond to queries related to contracts, pay, and benefits, and manage central HR email accounts.
  • Support policy revisions, implementation of changes, and maintain the HR Intranet site.
  • Conduct interviews and support recruitment processes.
  • Assist with external events and undertake specific projects as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent.
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience in Payroll practices.
  • CIPD Associate or CIPP Membership is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with integrated HR/Payroll/Time Recording systems.
  • Experience using SAP HR/Payroll is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate in additional European languages is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of GDPR and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
