Legal Secretary – Private ClientChatham or Canterbury office
Full time, permanent position
£24,000 - £28,000 depending on experience
A leading law firm with offices in Canterbury & Chatham are looking to recruit experienced legal secretaries to work in their private client team, with a specific focus on will & probate matters.
Main responsibilities
- Answering calls, liaising with clients, taking clear and precise messages and passing on to the relevant fee earner
- Administration to include daily filing, digital transcription (Bighand), responsibility for client files, photocopying, scanning, preparing mail and enclosures, and arranging client visits.
- Diary management, booking meeting rooms and arranging meetings
- Ensure the confidentiality of all the firm’s and client documentation and information.
- Attending client meetings and accompany fee earners on home visits when needed
About you
- You must have prior experience as a legal secretary, working in a private client team.
- You will be proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel and other packages that may be relevant to the role
- You must possess a high level of organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Fast and accurate typing speeds
- You will possess the ability to interact sensitively and compassionately with clients
