We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Quantity Surveyor, ideally with experience in the education sector to to join a prestigious Tier 1 Main Contractor based in Canterbury.

The Role: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in managing the financial aspects of various educational projects. Your expertise will be key in ensuring that these projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for various projects.
  • Oversee procurement processes and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Monitor project costs and performance, implementing effective cost control measures.
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress and address any financial concerns.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably with a focus on educational projects.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
