We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a prestigious Tier 1 Main Contractor based in Canterbury.This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong quantity surveying background in the construction sector who is looking to take on a senior role.

The Role: You will lead a team of quantity surveyors, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of multiple construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct site visits to monitor progress and address any financial issues that arise.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices throughout the project lifecycle
Oversee the complete quantity surveying process for multiple projects, from initial cost estimates to final accounts.
Manage and mentor a team of quantity surveyors, providing guidance and support for effective project delivery.
Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring accurate financial reporting and adheringto project timelines.
Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and project success.
Manage procurement processes and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a strong background in managing teams and preferably delivering projects in the education sector.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong analytical and numerical abilities, with attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
