New Directions Kent are always in need of Cover Supervisors in the Canterbury area whose basic roles will involve supervising students at work in the absence of their teacher, and supporting their learning & development.

The nature of the role will be to respond to daily, short term and long term bookings within secondary schools Throughout Kent and Canterbury. Many of the bookings are in advance, whereby we will call you on a Friday and offer work on set days for the following week.

Job requirements:

You must be eligible to work in the UK

Have Strong Classroom Management

A formal qualification such as a British Bachelors or Masters Degree is essential, although previous experience in a classroom environment would also be considered.

You will be happy to undertake various days cover within different schools throughout the week.

A Passion for teaching and education.

Have a creative approach to teaching.

Be flexible and adaptable

Passion for supporting students in their learning;

Possess ambition and drive to become an outstanding class-room practitioner;

Excellent communication and lesson delivery skills;

A hard work ethic.

All of the work will be set for you and the overall role will entail delivering the set lessons to class sizes of up to 30 students.
