Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Labourer with a valid driving license and a strong desire to learn and grow into the role of a Fire Damper Engineer. This role is ideal for someone who wants to develop specialized skills in fire safety, gain hands-on experience, and build a career within the fire protection industry. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential, as we will provide training and support for the right candidate to progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the installation, inspection, and maintenance of fire dampers under the supervision of experienced engineers.
- Handle materials and equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency on-site.
- Adhere to safety regulations and follow procedures during all tasks, including compliance with health and safety and fire protection guidelines.
- Support the team with general laboring tasks as needed on-site.
- Drive to various job sites, which may involve national travel, and ensure timely arrival and preparation for daily tasks.
- Undergo regular site drug and alcohol testing as required.
Requirements:
- Must hold a valid UK driving license.
- Willingness to travel nationwide as needed.
- Strong work ethic and a positive, proactive attitude.
- Commitment to learning new skills in fire protection and damper engineering.
- Ability to follow instructions, work in a team, and show reliability and punctuality.
- Must pass drug and alcohol tests on job sites when required.
Preferred but Not Essential:
- Previous experience in a laborer role or in construction is advantageous but not required.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations on construction sites.
