Manpower is hiring for a permanent Micro Site Manager for our fantastic client, offering brand new facilities, kit, and a chance to be a part of a growing company making a difference!

As the Microsite Manager, you will be responsible for all day-to-day management and operations at the site, ensuring the smooth running of all warehouse & logistical activities, and leading a team of warehouse and driving staff to deliver excellent customer service to all clients.

You will be accountable for ensuring all safety, compliance, and quality standards are met, and for maintaining a high level of staff performance and productivity.

The Microsite Manager will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of fresh and used cooking oil stock, it's storage and its onward movement to our biofuel processing sites.

In addition to the duties of a traditional Micro Site Manager you will act as contract manager for the Palmer & Klein (P&K) processing activities on behalf of Lifecycle Oils (LCO). Act as point of contact between the transport, compliance and production teams at LCO and P&K.

What you'll need to do:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the micro site, including inbound and outbound goods, inventory management, staff management and sales generation.
  • Monitor the production processes of P&K ensuring adherence to Lifecycle Oils processes and environmental standards. Escalate any issues as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations, as well as with all company policies and procedures.
  • Optimise site operations and maximise efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
  • Supervise and mentor staff (Administration, Warehouse and Drivers), including training, performance management, and motivation.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the site, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Prepare and submit reports to senior management on site operations, performance, and KPIs.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate site performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate corrective action.

What we'll need from you:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent (desired)
  • Counterbalance / Reach FLT Licence (desired)
  • Experience in logistics or supply chain management, with specific experience of being site lead managing a team of Drivers
  • Experience of working within a production processing environment.
  • Experience in managing a small logistics operation in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience of managing compliance processes either in waste management or food manufacturing.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality customer service and meeting KPIs.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
