Role: Transport Manager
Location: Chatham
Salary: 40k-55k
Hours: 40 hours per week
Benefits: 25 days annual leave, 3 staff outings per year + Christmas do, mileage allowance/access to fleet vehicle for site visits
After an exciting few years of growth, my specialist client is looking for a results-focused Transport Manager to look after their fleet of 15 vehicles and drivers/operatives. This is an exciting role working for a company passionate about looking after their staff, delivering an excellent service to their clients and growing the business even more. They have their sights set on doubling the fleet size over the next 5 years!
Duties will include:
- Overseeing fleet of 15 Vehicles including tankers, jetting vehicles and company cars
- To ensure that relevant changes are notified in accordance with operator licence requirements
- To keep up to date on relevant changes in standards and legislation
- Ensure driver compliance of employees, subcontractors and agency staff- completing all drivers checks and recording information accurately
- Ensure compliance with driving hours rules
- Take ownership for all FORS requirements and improve processes to uphold FORS Bronze
- To ensure that vehicles are kept in a fit and roadworthy condition
- To ensure that safety inspections and other statutory testing are carried out within the notified O-licence maintenance intervals
- To ensure inspection of vehicles, ensuring their safety and checking to see if they need maintenance work
- Schedule all servicing, MOTs and repairs
- Review and implements Driver training plans for the year in accordance with both business targets and CPC requirements
Your skills and experiences
- Full UK Drivers License (Essential).
- CPC Qualified
- Ideally with LGV and ADR licenses
- Proven record in Fleet Compliance in maintenance, MOTs Servicing and breakdowns
