The job
- Oversee and ensure smooth running of day-to-day finance operations including managing a multi-function finance team
- Collaborate on and support the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial planning
- Navigate financial analysis to monitor performance, identify risks, and drive consistency
- Provide financial reports and insights to senior management to inform strategic decision-making
- Drive financial performance through insightful analysis, identify opportunities and improve bottom line ensuring consistent financial practices
- Manage cashflow to ensure the company maintains financial stability.
- Oversee treasury functions, to include cash management, banking, and debt financing
- Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting (internal and external), including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Oversee the development and maintenance of strong internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial data
- Oversee compliance with taxation requirements, corporate governance, and other regulatory matters
- Ensure the company’s internal controls are robust and fit for purpose
- Work effectively with external auditors
- Manage, mentor, train and develop the finance team, ensuring they have the necessary skills, training, and resources to perform effectively
- Collaborate with various departments to evaluate financial impacts of business decisions and provide financial insight to support strategy.

The person specification
- Qualified accountant ACA/CIMA/ACCA with at least 5 years’ experience in a senior finance management position
- Experience of working for an organisation of £50+ million turnover
- Demonstrable experience in leading and managing a finance team.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Broad experience of financial software systems
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills
- Analytical with experience in analysing complex financial data
- Strong communicator with confidence in your ability to work at a strategic level
- Excellent decision-making ability
- Strong cashflow management experience
- Experience of working with investors is of interest
- Experience of leading on year-end procedures.
