Are you a skilled and hands-on individual looking for a short-term opportunity to make a real impact? CRM Students is seeking a Temporary Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Cardiff for a crucial 1-week turnaround period. This is an exciting opportunity to help us ensure our student accommodation meets the highest standards as we prepare for the new academic year.

Details:

1 week Temp position - Monday to Friday - Starting Monday 14th October

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic plumbing tasks, including fixing leaks, unblocking drains, and repairing taps.
  • Carry out basic electrical repairs, such as replacing bulbs, sockets, and switches.
  • Undertake carpentry work, including fixing doors, assembling furniture, and general woodwork.
  • Execute painting and decorating tasks to refresh rooms and communal areas.
  • Complete snagging tasks, identifying and resolving minor defects to ensure rooms are up to the required standards.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and on time.

Skills & Experience:

  • Basic knowledge and experience in plumbing, electrics, carpentry, and painting/decorating.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Previous experience in maintenance or a related field is preferred but not essential.
