My client is a national, employee-owned consultancy who specialise in many different disciplinaries such as Town Planning, Architecture, Urban Design and Master Planning, Landscape Architecture, Interior Design, Building Surveying, Graphic Design and Environmental and Sustainable Design. Due to increased growth, they are now looking for a skilled Building Surveyor to join the Cardiff team to support workload across diverse and exciting projects including Higher Education, Student Living, Healthcare, Education, Defence, Custodial, and Public Sector projects
Role as a Building Surveyor
- Deliver a range of professional services, including condition surveys, defect analysis, and planned preventative maintenance reports.
- Lead on project work - from design and project management to contract administration for refurbishment projects.
- Manage projects valued up to 2m under NEC and JCT contracts.
Essential Criteria for the Building Surveyor
- Demonstrable years of post-qualification experience (Chartered or working towards Chartership preferred).
- Strong project management experience and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Word, and Excel (knowledge of Microsoft Project and Revit is a plus).
- A proactive, practical, and high-quality approach to delivering surveying services.
