Estimator

DCS Recruitment are currently looking for an estimator to join an established construction provider in Cardiff.

Primary Objectives* Co-ordinate the tender process in a timely fashion* Accurate measurement using both CAD measure & manual measures* Production of tenders using Causeway Estimating Software System* Produce an accurate prime cost for the project.* Develop relationships with the design team and clients* Develop relationships, quality, and the range of the supply chain* Identification of areas of risk and opportunity* Highlight conflict and deficiencies within contract documentation* Produce the Estimating handover information in a suitable format for the Construction team* Support of Senior department staffSupporting Priorities* Support and promote collaborative working both internally & externally* Develop use of IT systems* Maintain a level of technical expertise* Maintain current cost data* Strive to eliminate risk* Obtain feedback from the construction departments on tenders* Follow the company brand and ethosPerformance measures* Be pro-active in resolving queries and technical issues* Strive for continuous improvement in both technical ability and financial acumen.* Safeguard the company against risk through identification and elimination* Ability to let work at estimators pricing levels* Accuracy and reliability of scheme measures.
