My client a global commercial Insurance Brokerage are seeking a experienced Business Development Executive to join their established and growing corporate Commercial team.

Responsible for actively growing and sourcing new business along with retaining existing clients. You will be an outstanding communicator with exceptional negotiation skills and the desire to achieve.

You will be willing to go out and about, networking, growing your portfolio and able to upsell at any possible chance

You will ideally have insurance industry experience, and also the desire to achieve your objectives and keep your Clients at the heart of all that you do

Responsibilities:

  • Actively seek and respond to all new business opportunities whilst exceeding your targets. There is a strong focus here on the monetary goals but more importantly, how you engage with your clients and the impact on our reputation within the market.
  • Our client offers a broad range of services and products so you'll have plenty of chances to upsell.
  • Contributing to our overall target, you're a strong performer, great teammate, and act with the highest integrity.
  • You attend trade related dinners, AGM's, trade shows, expo's etc. able to rely heavily on your interpersonal skills and ability to network at all levels to seize new opportunities.
  • Your outstanding communication skills and powers to negotiate effectively get you the most appropriate terms with Underwriters and Insurers.

 Qualifications:

  • You will have a keen eye for New Business and ideally have sales management experience gained in a commercial setting.
  • A consistent track record of delivering against targets within a regulated, measurable framework is vital.
  • You must be comfortable generating leads and building pipelines autonomously, in this role it's about making things happen and providing the best possible service and business outcomes.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK with the ability to travel.
