We are seeking a individual to undertake our long-term Behavioural Teaching Assistant at a well-regarded secondary school in Cardiff. Starting March 10th, this role will continue until the end of the academic year. This is a great opportunity for sport coaches, current teaching assistants, youth workers, and individuals thinking about a PGCE. Role & Responsibilities of the Behavioural Teaching Assistant:
- Provide one-to-one support for students with emotional and behavioral difficulties, helping them engage in learning and thrive in the classroom.
- Assist the class teacher in managing classroom behavior and ensuring a positive learning environment.
- Implement strategies to help students regulate their emotions and behavior, supporting them to develop coping mechanisms.
- Work closely with the school's pastoral team to monitor student progress and well-being.
- Foster a supportive, encouraging atmosphere that builds students' confidence and helps them achieve their full potential.
Requirements for this Behavioural Teaching Assistant Role:
- A DBS Check - Can be provided through us.
- EWC registration - Can be provided through us.
- Experience of working with secondary age children.
