We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Children's Home Manager to lead a residential care team in Cardiff. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people in a supportive and nurturing environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the children's home, ensuring a safe, caring, and positive environment for all residents.
  • Lead, manage, and motivate the care team, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement individual care plans that meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of each child.
  • Ensure the home meets all CIW standards and regulations, striving for outstanding ratings in inspections.
  • Manage budgets effectively, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately to meet the needs of the home and its residents.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external agencies, including social services, healthcare professionals, and education providers.
  • Uphold safeguarding procedures and practices, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children in your care.

Requirements:

  • Level 5 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven leadership experience in a children's residential care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, including CIW standards and safeguarding procedures.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
