Manufacturing Project Support

Platform Resourcing are currently working with a leading manufacturing company who are looking to expand their team by taking on a Manufacturing Project Support, based in Cardiff.

The successful candidate will have experience within Production, Manufacturing or Engineering within a coordination or reporting role. They will be responsible for supporting on exciting new multi-million-pound projects as directed, making system improvements, updating and improving documentation and overall process. They will be a large part of converting paper-based processes to a paperless environment.

Hours:

• Monday to Friday only, 8.00am - 4.00pm, but this can be flexible i.e. 7.30am - 3.30pm/ 8.30am - 4.30pm

Manufacturing Project Support Benefits:

• Salary of up to 27,000
• Yearly 10% bonus (2,700 based on this starting salary) that will rise as your salary rises year on year

Manufacturing Project Support Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the running of manufacturing engineering projects
• Create paperless solution for existing processes in the 365 environment
• Assist in developing lean principles across all manufacturing sites
• Design and create reports on key operational data (Power Bi)
• Establish and/or adjust Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
• Improve Visual management standards
• Provide training on developed paperless solutions
• Responsible for following all company procedures and policies in line with our compliance management system and to report any concerns of noncompliance immediately
• Responsibility for taking reasonable care of yourself and others who may be affected by your actions or omissions.
• Ensuring compliance with all safety policies and procedures at all times

Manufacturing Project Support Essential Experience/Qualifications

• Experience of working within a Manufacturing, Production or Engineering environment
• IT literate with experience of using programmes such as Power BI/ Power platform/ Power Automate
• Having experience within continuous improvement whether that be systems or processes
• Project coordination experience/ Assistance with projects within this environment
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Understanding of production processes and knowledge of Lean Principles/ 5S/ 7 waste Cultures
• Able to produce reports, must have experience of creating reports
• Experienced within Microsoft programmes including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Knowledge of SQL - desirable not essential
